Virginia Jaycees 2019 and 2021 Most Outstanding Chapter
Joining the Lexington-Rockbridge Jaycees is a great way to get to know the local community and develop personally and professionally.
Have fun making meaningful personal and professional connections with planned and impromptu social events.
The Lexington-Rockbridge Jaycees empower you to be a positive change in the community with philanthropic and service events throughout the year.
The Jaycees, or Junior Chamber of Commerce, was founded in the late 1920s. Our mission is to provide development opportunities that empower young people (21 to 40) to create positive change. One hundred years later, The Jaycees is a global movement with chapters in more than 5,000 communities across nearly 120 countries.
Locally, the Jaycees have a lot to offer you! We provide a way for you to become an active and contributing member of the community. Additionally, you will meet many other young adults (ages 21-40) with a wide variety of interests from diverse backgrounds.
Friday’s Alive is Lexington’s premier outdoor concert series. Entry is free, and all proceeds from food and beverage sales benefits the Rockbridge SPCA and the Virginia Institute for Autism. Sponsor 2023, our 20th year!
The Rockbridge Community Festival is an annual downtown arts and crafts festival planned by the Jaycees and the Lexington Rotary Club. All funds benefit Rockbridge area charities. It is the only festival of its kind in the Rockbridge area.
The Lexington Gobble Wobble 5k and Fun Run is a fun community event held on Thanksgiving Day, and all proceeds benefit the Rockbridge Area Health Center, the Rockbridge YMCA, and the Lexington-Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to our monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month, here are a few events that Jaycees are involved with or attend.
